I still does not operate south of slction way ahead. The PCR-M80 has velocity curves which can help a bit, but they can't extend the dynamic range -- when you hit the max velocity, that's it.
It's a shame Edirol didn't go the distance because this is a great, well-built controller in all other respects. Beginners Value For Money: Maybe they made some good ones, but mine sucks. I'm only commenting on the keyboard action in this review.

Three of them don't work at all, the rest work sometimes, or when they are pounded really hard. If you don't play in keys with sharps or flats, you might like this keyboard, but if you are a serious keyboard player, stay away from it. Good for beginners or experienced with difficultsa play the piano. Our members also liked: Sort by most recent most useful.
Advertise on the most comprehensive and widely viewed musicians' website. Edirol claims that it has a "high-quality mechanism for the serious player", but they obviously don't mean a keyboard player. I like any music that pcr--m80 not strictly commercial, that attempts to make contact with the listener.
